The Alexander and Brewery Market

1496 Lower Water St.

The Brewery Market is a historic multi-use complex which dates back to 1820. This landmark is home to Keith’s Brewery (one of the oldest breweries in Canada) and well-known retailers and services, including the Halifax Brewery Farmer’s Market, the oldest continuously operating farmer’s market in North America. Recent upgrades are drawing people back to explore what makes the Brewery Market a unique treasure on Halifax’s waterfront. Visit the Farmer’s Market Saturday until 1 pm, and explore the renovated space all weekend.

The Alexander, a Killam Apartment REIT development, is a brand new 21-storey residential development with European styling and impressive views of downtown and the Halifax Harbour.  Accessible through the historic Brewery Market, the building is a unique mix of history, heritage and metropolitan culture that comes with living next to a thriving Halifax landmark. Doors Open weekend is your chance to visit the model suite, the 12,000 square foot terrace, and see commanding views from units in the tower.  Doors Open weekend is the first-time units in the tower will be open to the public. The Alexander will officially open in September 2018 – this is your chance at a sneak peek.
